Our superbly maintained fleet of six, high performance, Piper aircraft provide unparalleled safety, comfort and style.
Our aircraft are operated under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 135, with strict adherence to FAA operations, maintenance and flight crew regulations.
Island Birds prides itself on its impeccable safety record, no doubt due to our highly qualified and experienced Captains and A&P/IA Mechanics.
Regular inspections occur every 50 flight hours. Additionally, each aircraft is thoroughly inspected every 100 flight hours, with an even more comprehensive inspection performed each and every year. New engines and propellers are installed on our aircraft every 2,000 hours.
Our Captains are some of the most experienced pilots anywhere, having logged thousands of hours flying into nearly every airstrip in the Caribbean. Each of our Captains hold Airline Transport Pilot ratings and every six months undergo First Class medical examinations.
Island Birds adheres to the very highest standards of safety…and it shows.
